RECOOL Canada Inc. is the largest full service waste management company in Northwestern Ontario, focusing on recycling solutions to help you reduce your waste costs. Whether you are a private business, institution or project manager planning for an upcoming construction site, we offer a complete range of disposal services, as well as secure storage containers…one stop shopping!

At our processing plant on highway 61, we currently process and divert paper, cardboard, pop cans, tin cans, number #1 PET plastic bottles, and #2 HDPE plastic bottles.

In addition to our residential recycling progams, such as the two depots and blue bag collection, we also offer a variety of commercial waste and recycling programs.
If You’re Not Recycling, You’re Throwing it All Away.
REDUCE: Avoid excess or needless packaging. Buy in bulk to reduce unwanted packaging and save money. Buy locally to cut down on the amount of packaging, and energy, used to bring products to market. Voice your concerns about excess packaging to manufacturers and to supermarket managers.
REUSE: Look for returnable bottles, and reusable containers that can function in many ways. Carry a reusable shopping bag to reduce the number of plastic bags going to landfill sites. Avoid disposable products that are meant to be used once and thrown away.
RECYCLE: Use the city’s recycling programs when you have reduced waste as much as you can and have run out of reuse possibilities.
Multi Material Recycling Program
City residents receive curbside recycling collection every other week. Check your garbage collection calendar for your recycling days. Need a new garbage schedule calendar? Call (807)684-2195. Place recyclables in a blue or clear bag, sold at most supermarkets. Fibre products are to be put in one blue or clear bag while all recyclable containers go in a separate clear or blue bag. You may also put out bundles of flattened corrugated cardboard for collection on your recycling day.
